CREDIT CRISIS - WORK FOREVER?
Given the much overdue financial crisis of the past three or four weeks and seeing my retirement assets drop like a rock I've decided I have two choices - I can work until I have one foot and nine toes in the grave or I can have freedom......freedom to eat chocolate, cheese, beer, butter, and all the other guilt ridden foods, freedom to not go to the gym, freedom to go down the ski slopes without the worry of potential broken bones or pulled muscles. You see we do all those things because we've been told it will extend our lives and the quality of our lives will be greater because we're healthier. However - the financial crisis has put all of that into perspective - hmmmmm live longer and work for the rest of your life - or live well and check out early - but fulfilled, happy, and having experienced as many things as possible.......I'm thinking the second option is much more desirable!

Now that I have some time I'm finally providing everybody with an update - although my life now is much more settled than it was when I first moved to Switaly three years ago - not nearly the amount of comic relief - - - however Italian classes are soon to start and I'm sure it will yield a wealth of new humor content.
